Marc Smith is the new EPC Director at CCE

High-calibre new addition to photovoltaic specialist CCE: in April 2024, experienced industry expert Marc Smith started as the new Director of EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). He is now responsible for the construction of all PV systems and battery storage systems at CCE. This year alone, projects with a total output of over 400 megawatts are already planned across Europe.

Marc Smith has been working in the energy sector for over 30 years and has already travelled to six continents. He studied mechanical engineering at the renowned North Carolina State University. From 1992 to 2010, he worked for General Electric worldwide in various positions of responsibility in the energy sector. From 2011, he was responsible for the planning and construction of power plants with a total capacity of 1.7 GW at OMV. His other career positions include Head of Surface Engineering for OMV Exploration & Production and Head of Mechanical Availability for OMV Fuels & Feedstocks.

With his outstanding expertise, Marc Smith is a decisive milestone on this path.”
Marc Smith is looking forward to his new tasks, which fulfil his long-standing desire to build plants for renewable energies.
