Ardea / Vienna, 25.03.2025 CCE Italia informs about the grid connection of a 4.6 MW photovoltaic system in Ardea (Lazio region): From now on, the system supplies around 2500 households in the region with green energy. The sustainably generated electricity saves around 3.2 tons of CO2 emissions per year. To realize the solar park, 7,826 bifacial modules were installed to capture solar energy from both sides of the modules and maximize the system's performance.
The solar park is located on an area of 11 hectares, originally intended for industrial settlements. Through the PV system, CCE Italia prevented the sealing of the soil and sensibly uses the fallow land for power generation.
"We are very proud of the grid connection of the PV system in Ardea, the first of a development pipeline of a total of 3.6 GW, of which we intend to connect a large part to the national power grid in the coming months and years. This is a significant contribution to the country's energy transition," commented Sandro Esposito, Managing Director of CCE Italia.
With the solar park in Ardea, the international CCE Holding takes another important step to contribute as an IPP (Independent Power Producer) to the global energy transition.
