Transition to renewable energies:
CCE actively expands its portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage systems in seven countries and aims to supply over two million households with green electricity by 2029. By replacing fossil fuels with renewable energies, we are making significant progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Our large-scale solar parks are designed for maximum energy efficiency with minimal environmental impact, thus contributing to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
Beyond traditional solar energy, CCE invests in innovative energy solutions, including:
Smart grid systems for optimizing energy distribution and reducing energy losses.
Energy storage solutions for stabilizing the supply of renewable energy and minimizing dependence on fossil fuels.
)
Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions:
The CCE Holding GmbH is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through comprehensive strategies and sustainable solutions. Our initiatives are aligned with global net-zero goals and aim to significantly reduce the CO2 footprint of all business areas.
Strategy for Net-Zero Emissions:
CCE has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, which includes emissions from categories 1, 2, and 3.
Furthermore, we have aligned our goals with the Paris Climate Agreement and aim to limit global warming to well below 2°C. We support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goals 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 13 (Climate Action).
)
Sustainable practices along the entire value chain:
Our framework for Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) ensures that every project is carried out under the fundamental principle of sustainability.
We place importance on using recyclable components, low-emission materials, and environmentally friendly construction practices to minimize our ecological footprint.
)
Global cooperation and partnerships:
CCE collaborates with global partners to implement best practices for reducing greenhouse gases and developing sustainable energy solutions.
We actively participate in international forums and initiatives to align our strategies with global climate goals and promote a sustainable energy transition.
)
Measurement and reporting of progress
CCE is committed to transparent reporting on emission reduction and sustainability initiatives.
We publish our progress annually on the path to Net-Zero goals, including detailed greenhouse gas inventories, data on energy savings, and CO2 offset projects.
Our goal is to set new industry standards for sustainability in the field of renewable energies and at the same time actively contribute to global climate protection.

Conservation and Management of Biodiversity
CCE implements the waste hierarchy by prioritizing environmentally friendly project sites and applying sustainable resource management to minimize disruptions to biodiversity. We restore affected areas and implement compensatory measures to achieve a net gain in biodiversity.
Our biodiversity plans focus on protecting endangered species, using native plantations, and participating in climate projects to offset CO2 emissions from travel and commuting.
We monitor and transparently report on measures to preserve biodiversity, including wildlife observations, the introduction of native plants, and carbon sequestration, as part of our sustainability reporting to our stakeholders.
