PV system distributed on many roofs
At the center is a large-scale photovoltaic system with around 255 kWp power – it utilizes all suitable roof areas of several buildings on the farm. This optimally converts sunlight into electricity, which is then used on-site or fed into the grid. But that's not all: a small wind turbine complements the PV system perfectly – it provides reliable energy, especially at night and in winter when the sun takes a break, enabling energy independence.
Andreas Lindorfer also takes modern approaches to heat supply: an environmentally friendly ground source heat pump replaces the previous oil heating system. This not only sustainably heats the residential and commercial buildings, but also the businesses that have rented space on the farm. The combination of solar power, wind energy, and heat pump is a prime example of intelligent sector coupling (the linking of different forms of energy).
Consuming energy where it is generated
A special focus is placed on using the generated energy directly on-site. Instead of diesel and gasoline, batteries will be used in the future – for example, in machinery for concrete processing, such as trowelling machines. This not only saves fossil fuels, but also reduces noise and emissions in the workplace.
Role model and beacon for other projects
The Lindorfer energy transition farm is much more than just an energy-efficient farm. It is a symbol of the enormous potential that lies in rural areas – when courage, innovation, and the willingness to cooperate come together. The Lindörfer farm becomes energy self-sufficient, largely climate-neutral, and thus a role model for many similar projects that are currently emerging.Vorbild und Leuchtturm für andere Projekte
In addition to the technical implementation, the farm also serves as a testing platform for modern energy management systems. Intelligent control, load distribution, and monitoring are important building blocks for the future – and they are already being tested in real operation here.
The PV system is expected to be commissioned in August and the wind turbine and heat pump at the beginning of next yeart. Then it will be seen how well all components interact – and how a farm can not only supply itself with clean energy but also its region.
The Lindorfer energy transition farm proves: The energy transition is not only the responsibility of large corporations – it can take place right at your doorstep with courage and initiative.
Der Energiewendehof Lindorfer beweist: Die Energiewende ist nicht nur Sache großer Konzerne – sie kann mit Mut und Tatkraft direkt vor der eigenen Haustür stattfinden.
